Primary prevention programmes not just for schools
1. ALCOHOL PREVENTION
Do you remember when you were growing up and everyone told you, "Don't drink alcohol, it's bad for you..." but no one ever actually told you why? That's over now. Addiction Busters is a project focused on primary prevention for children and adolescents. Through active, playful and fun methods, it seeks to inform about the negative as well as positive effects of alcohol on people.
Not only will you learn useful and interesting information, but you can also experience many situations "for yourself". This will enable everyone to make informed choices as an adult and be aware of the risks of their decisions. The programme is designed so that the children are active participants while the lecturers act as their guides. With the help of special Drunk Busters goggles, participants can try out what different activities look like at different stages of alcohol intoxication.
The programme also focuses on effective alcohol refusal strategies that are socially acceptable and practical. We believe this program will contribute to a healthier and safer environment.
Our lessons are not only theoretical
By simulating the effects of alcohol with special goggles, children engage in practical exercises that make them aware of the consequences of their choices.
With adolescence comes responsibility
One of the most important tasks is to teach our younger generations to behave responsibly even in the face of addictions. With this aim in mind, we are introducing a new and innovative project called "Addiction Busters" - Alcohol Prevention, which focuses on the prevention of addiction in primary school children in the scope of 3 lessons.
Our school program offers
Interactive and fun activities that help children understand the risks associated with alcohol use and learn strategies for refusing excessive drinking. The "Addiction Busters" alcohol prevention project is not just about teaching, but about actively engaging and building skills that strengthen their ability to resist external pressures and make healthy choices. The program is divided into three parts, called blocks.
First block
In the introduction you will meet our lecturer. Afterwards, we will brainstorm together to create mind maps on the topic of alcohol and discuss its positive and negative aspects. We will then focus on alcohol distribution, where among other things we will find out how many beers are hidden behind 5 drinks. There will be time for your questions at the end of this module.
Second block
At the beginning of this module, students will be introduced to the Drunk Busters glasses that they will use throughout the exercise. We gradually move from easier activities, such as straight walking, to more challenging tasks. Then the pupils will split into two groups. One focuses on gross motor training through the "monkey bars" while the other works on fine motor skills in activities such as reading and texting, stringing beads, and more. The groups then switch so that all students try both activities.
Third block
After the practical exercise, students have the opportunity to share their feelings and experiences. Afterwards, together we look for effective strategies for refusing alcohol. We also discuss the consequences of underage drinking according to Czech law. At the end, an anonymous evaluation from the pupils takes place, and each of them receives a certificate. Together we can take two commemorative photos with our polaroid camera, which the pupils can take back to school.
